ABUJA, NIGERIA – The Nigerian Association of Prostitutes promised their national soccer team a week of free sex if they win the Africa Cup of Nations.

Not a free pizza or a free e-book if they sign up for a newsletter: free sex. How? For how long each time?  Who is entitled to it? Not clear.

After the team defeated Ivory Coast, putting a foot into the final four of the competition, Nigerian sex workers decided to do their part in the quest for national pride. While France is dealing with the rebels in Mali, neighboring Nigeria will use the promise of a French kiss (well, everything starts with a French kiss) as a weapon of mass motivation.

And what if this is all just another Nigerian scam? What if in the end, instead of hot ladies, they get a group of horny guerrillas from the jungle?  You never know.

Here at home, however, we could use some extra help.

The US Men’s National Team opened the Brazil 2014 World Cup Qualifying with a loss against Honduras for 2-1. After Clint Dempsey scored for the US, Honduras changed the winds of the game with a spectacular bicycle kick. And then another one.  It’s just upsetting.

C’mon guys!  What do you need to build some spirit? A free trip to Nigeria?
