NEW YORK, NY – Maybe it’s a sign hell has frozen over. For 25 hours straight, there was no violent crime in New York City. It happened Sunday night through Tuesday morning.

NYPD officials could not even recall the last time there has been this kind of break in shootings and stabbings.

It’s like all the criminals took a little vacation, until a guy got stabbed in Brooklyn (guess all good things have to come to an end).

But the City has come a long way.  Back in 1990, there were more than 2,000 murders a year in New York. Now they are on pace for about 400.

Maybe hell is slowly freezing after all!
