NEW YORK, NY – In the world of social media, if you can post it, you can share it.  With apps like Periscope and Snapchat, and features like Facebook Live, broadcasting unfiltered content has never been easier.

NYPDd used Facebook Live to show off a bulldozing session of a bunch of dirt bikes they seized.

Viewers lost their minds watching BuzzFeed employees explode a watermelon on Facebook Live.  After nearly 45 minutes of wrapping almost 700 rubber bands on the fruit, it blew up.

While that all may be fun and games there is a real downside to live streaming, like witnessing something awful.  Last month in Chicago a man was shot while streaming on Facebook Live.

While sharing may be caring, oversharing can be down right scary.
