WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Obama may have received some flip-flops for Christmas. That sure would explain why he’s been the Flip-Flopper-in-Chief since the new year began.

First it was the Fiscal Cliff and those Bush-era tax cuts he promised to get rid of, but nearly all of them survived in the deal that averted the Fiscal Cliff dive.

Now there’s that whole constitution thing.

Both Republicans and Democrats want to know why the Obama White House thinks it’s okay to kill overseas Americans suspected to be terrorists without due process, or even clear evidence.

John Brennan, the President’s hand-picked guy to run the CIA, is the architect of the plan. Before his confirmation hearing with the Senate Intelligence Committee, Brennan turned in written answers to committee questions, and insisted all such killings are on a case-by-case basis.

He’s also expected to explain his involvement in water boarding while at CIA during the Bush years.

War is never easy, especially when you’re fighting your own people.
