HOUSTON – Police are investigating a shooting that ended with one person killed in a west Houston apartment overnight.

When police arrived at the turtle apartment homes near Richmond and Dunvale, they found three men with gunshot wounds. All three victims were sent to the hospital, but one of them died in an ambulance.

Police believe the shooting started in an apartment where people were selling drugs. Investigators say at least one gunman went into the apartment, trying to rob the place, and that is when shots rang out. It is unclear if the men who were shot were suspects or victims in the robbery, but police did find drugs, including crack-cocaine, inside the apartment.

It sounds like some kind of drug deal gone bad, and three people were dealt more than they bargained for from the barrel of a gun.
