NEW YORK, NY - We've all heard the saying: the early bird catches the worm. Well, an online study suggests women who make the first move on internet singles sites also get rewarded. No, not with worms, with dates. So listen up ladies and bust a move.

Online dating website OKCupid studied 70,000 users to see how women and men who reached out first fared. and guess what? OKCupid found women who initiated a dialog were 2.5 times more likely to be taken out, than men who did the same. And about dudes with killer pick-up lines? Many women say there's not much a guy could say online that doesn't come off creepy.

Women, on the other hand, seem to be able to say and do whatever they want on their online profiles and still get dates. The Second City comedy troupe in Chicago decided to put this dating theory to the test, with hilarious results. Robyn Lynne Norris, creator of the skit says, "I made this character called TracyLovesCats. So every question I answered completely in all caps, I LOVE KITTIES! A couple of days later I logged on with a couple of friends, and i was like, you guys we have hundreds of messages."

It's ladies choice. Woman who message first, date the most. And guys, if you're look for some tail from a crazy cat lady, just know you're probably the butt of her joke.
