OMG! A pastor in Kenya is forbidding women from wearing panties and bras to church anymore, because it stops them from feeling close to God.
According to the original article in the Kenyan Post, Reverend Njohi said women who attend his services at the Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church in Nairobi are forbidden from wearing bras and underwear. Njohi said when going to church, people need to be “free in body and spirit” so they can receive Christ.
However, men, seem to be able to feel the Lord just fine and dandy in their Fruit of the Looms.
Maybe the ladies should switch to boy shorts?
Oh and this is not optional. It might as well be a commandment. Thou shall not go to church in you underwear. According to Metro:
The pastor added there would be grave consequences if his female members did not adhere to the new rule, which was reportedly adhered to as most women are said to have attended the next service with no underwear.
Njohi told mothers to check their daughters before going to church, so they can be close to Jesus. Oh Dear Lord.
I guess I missed something during my Catholic studies where Jesus said I had to go bare in order to praise him. But there is quite a lot in the bible. Maybe I missed that “testament”. Call me crazy I think this Pastor just wants to sneak a peek. Look for hidden cameras under the pews. All I can say is “Ken-ya see me now?!”
And that’s today’s helping of The Online Dish with Maggie.
