HOUSTON – Police are desperately searching for leads, trying to figure out why a family was killed in their apartment south of Memorial City Mall. A Houston pastor, his wife, and their son were all found dead when a property manager went to check on the family Monday morning.

Reverend Israel Ahimbisibwe is described as a loving and caring teacher at the Church of the Redeemer, Episcopal in Houston. Friends were concerned after he and his family didn’t show up for church on Sunday.

Police say there are no signs of forced entry in the family’s apartment and have not released the cause of death, but neighbors are eager for answers. Other residents of the apartment complex say it is a safe area.

According to church officials the pastor was a native of Uganda and held graduate degrees from Princeton, Harvard and Rice universities.
