CLEVELAND, OH – Has House Speaker Paul Ryan confused politics and football? The Wisconsin native, who is one of the owners of the Green Bay Packers, had the nerve to make an unsettling, bold Texas college football reference, and it makes him sound ridiculous.
He asked, “When one of the teams advances to a big bowl game or actual championship, don’t you root for the Aggies if you’re a Longhorn?”
Ryan was trying to make a point to unite Republicans at a delegates breakfast who don’t see eye-to-eye.
“My entire premise has just been obliterated,” Ryan said as the crowd laughed in disagreement. Let’s just say, Ryan fumbled the ball on this one.
