PEARLAND – Kids up at 5 a.m. aren’t usually bright eyed and bushy tailed, but these
kiddos are rip-roaring and ready to go.
The Pearland East Little League beat their Louisiana competitors last week earning them a trip to the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.
This is the second time in five years that a Pearland little league team made it this far.
The last time was in 2010 when they came in second in the nation.
This time, they’re hoping for first.
But it wasn’t just a matter of winning. These kids and their parents had to put in the work to make sure everyone could be there to cheer on the All-Stars.
Supporters held fundraisers to help cover travel expenses for the team members’ families.
From the looks of it, this group of kids are already all-stars, no matter how many runs they get in the World Series.
