HOUSTON, TX – Oscar David Gil has a knack for the piano and his preferred repertoire is mostly 80’s rock music. But Oscar’s story goes a little deeper than that.
Oscar was mute at the age of five. He could hardly make a sound. His father noticed that Oscar would hum to the commercials on TV.
Through music and speech therapy, Oscar was able to slowly develop the ability to talk.
He also plays the bassoon and is on the football team at school.
Oscar Gil speaks through music, both literally and figuratively.
