PORTLAND, Ore - If you like your wine with a side of hair ball, then you ought to get to Portland.

That`s where Purrington`s, a lounge for cat lovers (and food and drink), has opened. While you dine, you can watch the cats laze around or jump on your table, if that`s what they decide to do.

Don`t let the menu fool you. It`s somewhat of a cat house, too. For $8 an hour you can cuddle with a cat that`s up for adoption.

"When I can come into the room and have a moment to chill out and relax, I don't want to go back to work," said Kristen Castillo, owner, Purringtons Cat Lounge. "I don't want to do math. I just want ot hang out and have a glass of wine. It's really relaxing."

The owner of the cat-fe  says she and her husband have worked with the health department to make sure everything's up to code. They've also worked with a cat adoption team and a non-profit shelter to make sure the cats are safe and healthy.

That means keeping the kitchen free of cat paws, and providing a room for cats to retreat when they don't want to hang out with people.
