LA HABRA, CA – A California purse snatcher got bagged by a couple of Good Samaritans, and some of it was caught on camera. Security video at a La Habra car lot recorded a guy on the run after stealing a purse from this 82-year-old woman as she walked home from church.

But here’s where it gets better. The camera captures a car driving up with a couple of guys inside. They see the snatcher carrying what appears to be a 7-foot long piece of rebar and the woman’s purse. That’s when the men got out of the car and tune him up in the car lot.

“I was helping a couple of customers out, and I hear, uh, I hear a guy, a gentleman say , Drop the purse, drop the purse,’ real loud,” said Charles Farley, who works at La Habra Auto Sales.

“He practically picks him up, slams him up against the door here,” said Farley. “The guy drops the purse. The Good Samaritan and his buddy throw the purse to the side.”

Police arrested 25-year-old Alfredo Lazama, but they can’t find the Good Samaritans.

“You know, these two guys stepping up to the plate, being like super heroes, and just taking care of business and helping out an elderly lady. It doesn’t get much better than that,” Farley said.
