MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Days of heavy rain have been causing problems in some areas.

Lake Conroe was filling up so fast that dam managers released more water, which caused the San Jacinto River to break its banks. On that note, deputies had to rescue two people who got stuck in a stilt house on the flood plain earlier this week.

At this point, the river is a few feet shy of flood stage.
