HOUSTON – The BFE Rock Club was home to a party with a purpose. A comedy/music event was scheduled to give a helping hand to those who have had to suffer because of the recent Houston flooding.

Admittance to the event was a minimal $10 gift card or a minimal donation of $10 where 100% of the nights’ proceeds will be distributed amongst several non-profits in the city that are providing services specifically to Houston’s flood victims.

Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the Houston area can begin applying for assistance by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).

The City of Houston has established a website to help residents navigate the disaster recovery process, which includes the latest information from FEMA, as well as ways to receive and give help following the flooding. Visit www.houstonrecovers.org for more information.
