ALIEF - The deadly and unnecessary cycle of violence seems to have a grip on an Alief neighborhood in southeast Houston. Over the weekend, 13-year old Kennice Smith was gunned down in her own driveway during a drive-by shooting.

Two other teens were also shot but survived their injuries.

As heartbroken friends and family gathered at a vigil for Kennice - the unthinkable. Gunfire hit again.

no one was hit, but as you can imagine, after the three-gun shots were fired the scene was chaos.

"You come back and do it again ya know as they're mourning this child. They're heartless.. they don't have a heart"

Houston police were already looking for the small, gray, four-door car that was seen driving by Kennice`s home when she was killed.

Now, they have a second shooting to sort out.

Police believe the bullets that killed Kennice were meant for an older teen boy who was at the scene. But as we know, bullets don`t have names on them.

By all accounts, Kennice`s social media posts show a happy teen who was smitten with her boyfriend!

Hundreds of friends and classmates have flooded her pages sharing memories and saying their good byes. A Gofundme page has been started with the hopes the family won't have to stress about money during all this.

A tragic time for all those who knew this teen.
