HOUSTON (KIAH) This week The American Red Cross of greater Houston opened their doors to the community. The local Red Cross is inviting Houstonians to get involved in order to save lives during local emergency events and in preparation for disaster relief.
This week the red cross is celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Week and is looking for you to help in any way you can.
Tuesday evening, they opened their doors on Southwest freeway for their “Red Cross and You” event at their facilities in an effort to bring volunteers, staff, community partners and donors together. The public was invited for snacks and fellowship while providing information about opportunities for the public to give back, learn and join the team.
