HOUSTON, TX – Before you get turned up, you should know law enforcement will be on the lookout for anyone having a little too much fun this holiday weekend.

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson’s office launched a “no refusal initiative” from Friday, the 29th, through the morning of September first.

So you know the old saying “no means no?” Well that doesn’t apply this weekend, at least when it comes to drinking, driving and law enforcement. If you get pulled over this weekend, and police believe that you’re intoxicated, your getting tested.
Sheriff Adrian Garcia says, “You may not have to blow, but you’re definitely going to have to bleed. To ensure you effective and successful prosecution.”

If you refuse to take a breathalyzer, cops aren’t taking any chances they’re taking your blood, instead.
