HOUSTON, TX — A certain Texas governor is taking up the marijuana cause! At the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, Rick Perry voiced support for the decriminalization of marijuana. He’s still opposed to the drug, but he thinks there should be softer penalties.

Perry even said he wants to, “…keep people from going to prison and destroying their lives.”

An overwhelming 58% of Americans think pot should be legalized. Just look at the results marijuana legalization has had for Colorado and Washington, both their states’ football teams are going to the Super Bowl.

If that’s what it takes to get a Texas team to the big game, at least sports fans might support Perry’s view that states should be allowed to decide whether or not to legalize the ganja.

Let’s just hope that Texas team is the Texans and not the Cowboys.
