MINNEAPOLIS, MN – It’s a day no parent should ever have to see. The daughter of Houston Rocket’s head coach Kevin McHale died over the weekend.
Alexandra “Sasha” McHale was just 22-years-old. It was the end of a very long road for Sasha, who battled Lupus. A battle that she ultimately lost after being hospitalized for a related condition.
The Rocket’s owner, Leslie Alexander, released the following statement: “Kevin and Lynn are loving and dedicated parents who will need our continued support throughout this difficult time…We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”
Kevin McHale has been on a leave of absence since November 10th to be with his family in Minneapolis. It goes without saying: there’s no word on when McHale will return back to the Rockets.
