HOUSTON, TX – The Rockets know who their next playoff opponent is, the Los Angeles Clippers. What they don’t know is whether they’ll face Chris Paul in Game 1 Monday night.  Paul is listed as questionable after injuring his hamstring in a series clinching win against San Antonio.

“The sun may or may not come out tomorrow. I don’t know, but I’m banking on it. So, we’ll go from there,” Rockets head coach Kevin McHale said when asked about Paul’s status.

“That’s the head of the snake,” Rockets point guard Jason Terry added. “Obviously, we expect him to play, and we’re preparing as if he’ll be in the lineup.”

James Harden, a Los Angeles native, expects the series to be a tough one.

“They’ve got shooters. They’ve got really good bigs,” Harden said. “They’ve got a really good leader as point guard. They’re a really good team. We’ve got to do a great job of  knowing our match-ups, knowing what our guy’s tendencies are and just go out there and do our best job of playing great defense.”

The Rockets have home court advantage in the series.
