MULHEUR REFUGE CENTER, OR – That stand-off that’s not really a stand-off at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge Center in Oregon may be coming to an end.

The folks who want Uncle Sam to give federal lands to local ranchers say they’ll meet with the local community about plans to leave.

That meeting could come as early as Friday. But it won’t come soon enough for locals who want the protesters to hit the road and not come back. “Our community doesn't want you here any longer, please honor our community's wishes and depart immediately,” said one attendee at a town hall meeting this week.

Jon Ritzheimer is one of the protesters. He’s been posting updates on his Facebook page.

Some of those updates asked for supplies because he and his crew can’t leave.

But when the mail the other day included sex toys, and some (bleep) in a box.

Kinda brings a whole new meaning to the term “junk” mail.
