NEW YORK, NY – If you think Houston traffic is bad, take a trip to NYC.

Yeah, you might make it four miles in 20 minutes on Loop 610 during rush hour, but at least there are no traffic lights. But the lights are what make a video recently posted online by Afroduck kind of cool (all-be-it kind of illegal).

Afroduck claims to have set the record for the fastest lap around Manhattan: 26 miles in 24 minutes, 7 seconds at an average of 66 mph.

The loop around Manhattan actually takes about 41 minutes going the speed limit.

And that’s the problem cops have with this little excursion. Afroduck broke more than a few traffic laws. Now the boys in blue are out to get him.

“We now have license-plate readers that are positioned in the city that will assist in this type of investigation,” said NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly.

Way to take the fun out of it, NYPD.

Kidding. Safety first.

Records are meant to be broken, but maybe now this speed racer can put on the brakes.
