GALVESTON, TX - If you're planning to head down to Moody Gardens next week, get ready to see something so cool, it's ice-cold! Mariauna Hernandez, public relations for Moody Gardens says, "Iceland Ice Sculptures with SpongeBob SquarePants is a huge 28,000 square foot tent. It's a huge structure, that basically consists of two million pounds of ice." Inside carvers from Harbin China have constructed massive ice sculptures. Some as high as 30 feet.

That's right! Fans of SpongeBob will be able to bask in this winter wonderland, and the whole thing completely made of ice. The only drawback, it's "freezing" in there! The maintained temperature inside is nine degrees. So, in other words, explore this underwater world, just don't dress like you're going to the beach.

Thirty-five Chinese carvers started at the beginning of October to create the over 60 ice sculptures. Two million pounds of ice is used to make SpongeBob's world come alive. One of the structures that will make you freeze in your tracks, is the Flying Dutchman pirate ship.

The exhibit will set sail from November 14 to January 10 at Moody Gardens. It's a guaranteed cool time for all.
