HOUSTON, TX - Starbucks is serving a cup of controversy. Along with USA Today, the coffee company is stirring up some real emotions. In true 'vente grande' fashion. CEO Howard Shultz, known for controversial views, says due to the events surrounding Michael Brown in Ferguson and Eric Garner in New York, he`s ready to start the race relation conversation in his own stores.

Starting Monday, baristas write the message #racetogether on each cup of goodness they serve. But the sentiment is not going down as well as the Frappuccino with some customers. The coffee company`s Twitter account received so much backlash, the bean grinders shut it down so customers could, frankly, cool off.

Good news though, the coffee is still good at Starbucks, it`s just the conversation they're pushing down everyone`s throat that's leaving a bad taste.
