BATON ROUGE, LA – Louisiana State police played fairy godmother. They worked with The Cinderella Project to provide free prom dresses to high school girls in need.
Hundreds of teens packed the Louisiana State Police headquarters in Baton Rouge to pick out their special dress.
“Because some can’t afford a dress, and really want to go to be with their friends and have fun at prom. Some can’t afford it and it’s a big help,” said high school student Shardai Robinson.
State Troopers also talked to the girls about personal safety as the teens prepare for college or to enter the work force.
