PHILADELPHIA, PA — As if seeing cats on tablets weren’t proof enough, we now know that just about everyone uses a mobile device.
A new study conducted in a low-income Philadelphia community found that nearly 97 percent of kids use mobile devices and most little ones start before they turn one.
Results published in the journal Pediatrics also say:
About three-quarters of kids have their own mobile device, and half have their own TV by the age of four. Twenty-eight percent of parents use a mobile device to put their kids to sleep. Sixty-five percent of parents give their children electronics to keep them calm.
