legAUSTIN, TX – The Texas Legislature has opened round two of its special sessions with Fort Worth State Senator Wendy ‘The Filly Buster’ Davis ready for a re-match with Governor Rick ‘Oops I’ve Done It Again’ Perry.

Abortion is the main event, again.

Last week, Davis filibustered for nearly 11 hours, effectively killing the wide-ranging Republican-backed bill that would have outlawed abortions after 20 weeks, and required abortion clinics to meet the minimum standards of surgical centers.

Legislators introduced similar bills in both the House and the Senate, with debate expected to begin next week.
