(CNN) — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is known for being in good shape and now he’s encouraging others to do the same.

Nina Gibson appeared on “Today” Monday to talk about her 115-pound weight loss and said the actor helped inspire her strength training.

Gibson, 48, went from a size 26 to a size 8 and said she struggled with her workouts.

But then she would think about the “Moana” star, who she admires.

“When I was in the gym, it was really hard for me to do the strength training,” she said “I just couldn’t get into it. The Rock definitely motivated me with strength training.”

The actor heard about her accomplishment and recorded a video congratulating her.

“I heard in some way I helped motivate that,” Johnson said. “I appreciate that, thank you, and keep up the great work.”

“That’s awesome,” Gibson said after she watched the video.
