RALEIGH, North Carolina – In the US political campaigns, candidates seem to agree to disagree about everything.
Sometimes the political finger pointing can get down-right nasty.
Now, a third-grader wants to send both candidates to time-out.
She’s Carson Park, who got tired of watching Hagan and Tillis sling political mud.
So, she did what a lot of voters might think about doing. She wrote them a letter and told them stop being mean.
Parks got the idea to write her two-page letter in class, where her teacher encourages her and her classmates to create a positive school climate.
Park says Hagan and Tillis should focus on what they will do for the people of North Carolina instead of tearing each other down, proving again that adults can sometimes learn a lot from kids.
