TOMBALL, TX – Tragedy strikes in Tomball as the community mourns the death of a Memorial High School student. Deputies say 17-year-old Tyler Wade was in the shower when Pedro Sanchez, 21, stabbed him to death. The victim’s 12-year-old sister was also home at the time, and ran to a neighbor’s house pleading for help.
The neighbor, who happens to be a Houston Firefighter, grabbed his gun and ran to the scene. There was a struggle, and he ended up shooting Sanchez, killing him.
Tomball ISD released a statement saying “counselors are available for students and staff.” And to “keep Tyler’s family, friends, classmates, and teachers in your thoughts during this time.”
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is investigating this case. At the conclusion of the investigation this case will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury for final disposition.
