LOS GATOS, CA – There’s a fitness craze sweeping across the nation called Crossfit. It’s an exercise program with a mix of weightlifting, aerobics and gymnastics.

A California woman, Chloie Jonsson is into the exercise, but she’s suing Crossfit for discrimination because they won’t let her compete with other women in the International Crossfit Games. Here’s the twist, she used to be a he.

Now here’s where things begin to see-saw.

Crossfit’s attorney says that “a male competitor who has a sex reassignment procedure still has a genetic makeup that confers a physical and physiological advantage over women.”

Chloie’s lawyer sees it differently.

“She’s legally female. Her birth certificate, her driver’s license. She’s been female for a long, long time,” said attorney  Waukeen McCoy.

Chloie’s case is scheduled for a court hearing in July to decide whether or not she’s unfit for Crossfit.
