BAKERSFIELD, CA – We’ve heard of planking, gallon smashing and rope swinging. But teens these days are saying that stuff is so yesterday. Tricklining is apparently the new thing! And the sport is putting quite the spin on traditional rope walking.

“You’re bouncing about 4-5 feet above the ground, and if you fall on your head it’s going to hurt,” says Nik Andrews.

Yeah, I’ll say. But with bruises and all, these guys are traveling across America doing tricks on the two-inch tension cord.

“Like, I am just flying, it’s a great release from stress and you are kind of just in your own world when you are on the line.”

Well, if this is the new way to get away, we should probably all invest in a big box of Band-Aids.
