CHESTERFIELD, VA – We’ve all seen the headlines about Uber drivers arrested for a variety of offenses, but a case in Virginia is raising questions about the service’s passengers.

Chesterfield Police say  just after dark  a female driver picked up a man who wanted a ride from Walmart to a local bank. Once they got to his destination … officers say the suspect pulled out a gun, demanded the driver’s ATM card, and forced her into the trunk.

Then cops say he drove to an isolated area, parked, and ran off with the driver’s phone and purse.
she eventually made her way out of the trunk and called 9-1-1.

Fellow Uber drivers were shocked by their colleague’s story. Police haven’t caught up with the suspect passenger yet, but since you have to register a credit card to get a ride in the first place  it shouldn’t take long.

Proof that you’d have to be uber stupid to mess with Uber drivers.
