SPRING, TX – Victor Villalobos credits music as one of the main reasons he’s set to graduate as valedictorian of his class at Spring High School.

“Music has helped me stay determined, motivated,” Villalobos said. “It’s something you always have to push through and put a lot of dedication into.”

Villalobos has been one of the top flute players in Texas all four years of his high school career.

“You actually get to immitate a whole bunch of sounds, whether it be like the bird or angry deep low agitated sounds,” Villalobos said.

Next year, he’ll attend the University of Texas.  He plans to play in the ensemble, while pursuing a business degree.
