WACO, TX – It really was the wild, wild west this past May inside a restaurant in Waco, where nine people were shot dead and 177 others arrested.
It looked like a scene right out of a movie. Newly released video shows bikers involved a shootout at Twin Peaks, some ducking for cover as bullets fly.
Employees can even be seen scrambling for their lives.
“The whole incident probably didn’t last more than 90 seconds, it seemed like an hour. When you are laying there and people are getting shot around you and bullets are whizzing by you,” said biker John Wilson.
The chaos was triggered from a fight between biker clubs, the Bandidos and the Cossacks. The end result, horrific.
Guns, knives, brass knuckles, and dead bodies; all off-the-menu items left at the graphic crime scene, which looked like a staged set.
“They didn’t come here to eat and have a good time with their family. They came here for a reason and we think part of that reason was criminal activity,” claimed Patrick Swanton, with Waco Police Department.
The 177 bikers that were arrested were charged with organized criminal activity. A charge some feel is unfair, claiming cops rushed to judgment, and the video shows majority of the bikers fleeing to safety.
Defense attorney Susan Anderson said, “They just did a roundup and arrested everybody before they determined out who was involved.”
So far, no one has been charged for the nine deaths. Looks like a court will have to determine who will ride free into the sunset.
