WEST, TX – He’s got a cloud of suspicion around him. Bryce Reed has been charged with having stuff to make a pipe bomb, and that’s bad timing. He lives in West, Texas, and we know what happened there.

Reed’s arraignment was waived on Wednesday, but his lawyer said he would enter a not guilty plea.

Reed was a first responder at the massive fertilizer plant explosion in April.  He was even interviewed by CNN the next day.

If convicted of the destructive device charges, he could face 10 years in prison and a quarter of a million dollar fine.  And more charges are possible.

On Thursday, investigators are expected to reveal the cause of the blast, and whether it was intentionally set.  You have to wonder if Bryce Reed’s lawyers will have more work to do.
