COSTA RICA - The hunt is intensifying for criminal mastermind and escaped drug cartel leader Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman after his son may have let his location slip on social media.

Alfredo Guzman, 29, took a picture of himself and two other men at a restaurant and then covered the final version with big emoji icons which obscured one of the men's faces . But, beneath a large emoji on the right side of the younger Guzman, enough of a man's mustachioed face can be seen, and it looks a lot like his notorious dad.

The caption on the picture, written in Spanish, translates to say: "Comfortable here, you already know with whom".

Alfredo apparently did not turn off his location services on Twitter, so people immediately saw that the group was tagged in Costa Rica.

Now the search is heightened for the Sinaloa drug cartel kingpin, the drug lord who embarrassed Mexican authorities by escaping through an elaborate mile-long tunnel in July and riding away on a motorcycle placed there for him.

Costa Rican authorities say they don`t think he`s there. In Mexico, a small little fishing village called Costa Rica is being scoured.
