LA CROSSE, WI – A 22 year-old man is in jail after screaming wildly and jumping full force onto a parked police cruiser, then pounding his head on the windshield.

It started after police got a call about a car hitting a building and a man assaulting people. When Officer Mark Rosenmeier arrived, the suspect, Jacob Olsen charged his squad car. Rosenmeier got out and tased the suspect, but not even that stopped him. Then he used pepper spray, but the suspect just kept coming.

Finally, more officers arrived and took Olsen into custody. He is being held on $5,000 bond for multiple charges including battering an officer. In 2012, he was given 30 days in jail and three years probation for pointing a rifle at police. In that incident, he was shot twice by an officer.

Rosenmeier was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
