WEED, CA - It's gone from being a hot place to live, to smoking in a really bad way.
A dozen major wildfires are eating through California. The King Fire, which is the most concerning, has been devastating the El Dorado National Forest which is located about 60 miles from Sacramento. It is more than 12,000 acres big and barely contained.
At this point, firefighters say more than 2,000 homes and structures in the area are in serious danger.
Meanwhile, the Boles Fire has devastated the small town of Weed near the Oregon-California border.
People in the area say a quarter of the small town is charred. Crews remain active and stretched thin across the state as they continue battling the blazes.
