HOUSTON (CW39) — African Americans are 3 times more likely than whites to get COVID-19, however there is a disparity in people of color getting the vaccine. CW39’s Shannon LaNier speaks with Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath, from Biotechnology Innovation Org. to find out why 70% of white Americans have been fully vaccinated compared to only 7% of blacks.
