Woman killed in crash after allegedly trying to jump out of moving truck during argument with boyfriend

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating to determine whether a woman who was killed in a crash Sunday night tried to jump out of a moving truck during an argument with her boyfriend, or if she was ejected when the vehicle crashed in the Cypress Village.

According to authorities, Jeremy Crow was driving a Ford F-150 down Highway 290 around 9:30 p.m. when he got into an argument with passenger, Renesha Smith. Crow told Investigators that Smith tried to jump out of the pickup truck and he tried to stop her, causing him to lose control of the vehicle near Spring-Cypress Boulevard. The truck crashed into a concrete divider.

Smith died at the scene.

Crow was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His condition is not known.

No charges have been filed at this time.
