HOUSTON -- Collin Wilder is a Katy High School football legend, having started 64 straight varsity games, which is a national record.

"Coach Joseph and the coaching staff at Katy, they're a big big reason I'm here," Wilder said after a practice at the University of Houston. "I can't thank them enough for all they taught me up to this point."

Wilder is in his second year at UH and is looking to build on the success he had with the special teams last season.

"With all that experience, I've got to either take that role to another level or add more roles to help this team," Wilder said.

The defensive back thinks some people are underrating the Cougars this year, but he thinks that will just add more motivation to the team.
