HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department is searching for as many as four suspects accused of robbing and fatally shooting a man at a residence in the Independence Heights area Wednesday night.

John Edwards, 35, was found fatally wounded inside the doorway of his residence in the 400 block of E. Delz Drive about 9:30 p.m. He had been shot several times, police said.
