HOUSTON – A man was shot in the head near a southwest Houston apartment complex Saturday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 1:05 a.m. near the intersection of Glenmont Drive and Rampart Street.

When police arrived, they found the victim — who has been identified as Marcos Marin-Ramirez — sitting inside his car.

Ramirez, 30, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive.

The department said there are no suspects or motives at this time. However, the case remains under investigation.
