HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Talk about a big-time dog-napping!
A truckload of crooks made-off with a batch of English and French bulldog puppies worth about $20,000– and it’s all caught on camera.
Surveillance video shows a white truck pulling up to ‘Pet City’ in Northwest Houston on early Saturday morning.
You can actually see the face of one occupant in the truck, but three masked men jump out.
Pet City owner Sheri Stack tells what happened next. “The thrid person took a crowbar with a sledgehammer….broke the sledgehammer into my cement….broke the lock through the cement. Nobody’s ever done that before.”
The thieves then entered the store and began searching for the valuable puppies.
“He took a sledgehammer, a sledgehammer! …and broke the glass with three puppies sitting in the kennel,” Stack described. “One of them– ‘Diamond’– was injured. She had a cut above her right eye.”
Now the pet shop owner worries about the health and well-being of these prized pups.
“You know, we’re offering an $800 reward for each puppy brought back– no questions asked,” Stack announced. “We just want our puppies returned.”
