TAMPA, Fla. - Do you feel addicted to your digital devices?

Well, maybe it's time to go 'cold turkey' and dive into a "digital detox!"

We can follow the lead of rappers Kanye West and Wale who say they are taking a break from the digital domain to get creative and get connected.

Kanye tweets, "I got rid of my phone so I can have air to create."

That got a lot of attention, including a tweet of support from pop princess Katy Perry saying, "Unplug to connect."

Of course, one Kanye follower said, tongue in cheek, we hope, "I got rid of my child so I could have a phone."

Maybe that's someone who's headed for a digital overdose!

A recent study from MiMedia shows that nearly three out of four Americans would rather have their home broken into than to have their phone get hacked!

Rapper Wale is also 'cutting the cord' to some bad habits to get closer to family.

The rapper says on Instagram, "I have to try harder to embrace the good in my life."

Who knows what kind of "rappers' delight" the decision to go digital-less will have on Kanye and Wale's work?

Kind of makes you wonder what great feats the rest of us could accomplish if we decided to unplug?
