PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD - You would think a person who worked for the White House would keep their behavior on the up-and-up, but that's not what's going down with Barvetta Singletary. The 37-year-old White House staffer is on leave after she allegedly fired a gun at her boyfriend during a domestic dispute.

Her boyfriend, by the way, just happens to be a U.S. Capitol Police officer, and it was his gun that she used! According to Prince George's County Police, Singletary was mad at her po-po, thinking he was messing around with another woman. She grabbed his cell phone, demanding the password, but he refused.

That's when, police say, Singletary grabbed the officer's service weapon, pointed it at him and said, "You taught me how to use this; don't think I won't use it."

Police say she fired the gun once, but missed. Her beau booked it, and called for backup. She was arrested and charged with first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

For now, she's persona-non-grata at the White House. Singletary is a special assistant to the president and House legislative affairs liaison, whose job is to build good relationships with Congress. Maybe this could explain why Obama has such a hard time with them!
