HOUSTON – Babies might not be able to walk very well, but luckily Houstonians are walking for them.

More than 40,000 people attended the 43rd annual Houston March for Babies at the University of Houston Saturday morning

The four-mile walk benefits the March of Dimes, which aims at helping all moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.

On average, just over 1,000 babies are born too soon in Texas each year and must fight for their lives in their first hours and days.

But from the looks of this march, those little fighters have an excellent support network.
