HOUSTON, TX - A 6-year-old girl is credited with saving her family after a fire started in her home late Thursday night.

Investigators say a woman and her two daughters lived at the home on Wipprecht St. near Collingsworth St. Around 11:30 p.m., the 4-year-old daughter allegedly started a fire while she was playing with a lighter in a closet. The older daughter got her mom and sister out of the house safely.

Fire crews got the flames out pretty quickly, but the house suffered significant fire and water damage.
